The popularity of Shruti Haasan all over India and the market she enjoys fetched her a massive project. Yes, She was roped to play one of the female leads in the Telugu-Tamil bilingual 'Sanghamitra' to be directed by Sundar C Kumar.
Makers claims they had finalized Shruti Haasan as she is beautiful and a good performer. The other reason is that she is a familiar face in the Telugu, Tamil and Hindi market.
'Sanghamitra' is made on a mammoth budget of Rs 350 crore. Jayam Ravi, Arya and Shruti Haasan play lead roles. Chances are high that Hansika, who's is Sundar C's favourite, could be another Heroine. AR Rahman is being roped as the Composer. No one knows how this project is commercially viable. Neither Jayam Ravi nor Arya are among Top 5 Biggest Stars in Kollywood. Even a budget of Rs 100 crore is too big for such a combination. Why does Sundar C require such a huge budget? Is he making much better film than 'Baahubali'?
