Can Sruthi wield magic for Sanghamithra?
By: Tupaki Desk | 20 May 2017 9:18 AM GMTBaahubali on one side has opened up many avenues for filmmakers who are forcefully stuck with doing routine films. A good story teller always wishes to have a hassle free environment for his film. But when attempting huge productions no one can guarantee the success and often filmmakers tend to go for style over substance and miss the mark.
We hope that won't be the case for Sanghamithra. The movie planned by Sundar C and Thenendal Studios, looks to ambitious and rides heavily on its lead actress, popularity to gain some buzz all over the nation. Baahubali didn't have that too, but producers strategised carefully while promoting the movie and collaborated with big distributors all over the country to ensure hassle free release.
For Sanghamithra, Arya and Jayam Ravi are two actors who can ensure some opening in Tamil Nadu and parts of Kerala but it is Shruthi whose popularity can only help the movie to get some attention in Telugu states and Bollywood. When it comes to being a glam doll on screen no one can beat the lady but can she adhere to the box office pressure and carry such a big film on her shoulders?
One wonders as she neither did any heroine oriented cinema nor she tried any meaty role except for D-day some time back. She doesn't have much fame for her acting skills too. So a 250 crores project wholly dependent on her? Well, producers do need her to borrow the acting skills and charisma of her father, Kamal Hassan to pull it off. What do you say? Can Shruthi wield the magic at box office for Sanghamithra?
