Cab Driver Harassed Singer In Public

A Cab Driver had allegedly followed Singer Vasundhara Das for over 4 km and even blocked her way twice only to abuse her with filthy language. This incident of road rage happened at 4.30 PM on Monday near the 13th Cross bus stand on Margosa Road in Malleswaram, Bengaluru.
Vasundhara Das stopped her car at Bhashyam Circle when the traffic signal turned red. On the left side of her vehicle, A Toyota Etios was waiting to take a right turn. The Singer headed straight towards Malleswaram soon after the green signal flashed. This move eventually prevented the Cab Driver from turning right. Offended by it, The Cab Driver kept chasing and honking at her. He stepped down of the vehicle at a signal and hurled abuses. Vasundhara Das got panicked and drove ahead. The Cab Driver blocked her way once again at the next junction. As the people began gathering in big numbers, He fled the scene to avoid trouble.
A police complaint was lodged by Vasundhara Das. Cops booked a case under Sections 509, 504, 341 and 354 of IPC. The Cab Driver is yet to be arrested.
