Who told that disaster Singam-3.. as a hit ?

Hero Suriya.. director Hari will get huge enthusiasm whenever they talk about 'Singam'. As the first two films in 'Singam' series turned out to be super hits..and minted money at the box office, they have brought third installment of 'Singam'. It is known that Suriya lost money with '24', which was produced by himself.. he wanted to recover his loss by producing 'Singam-3'.
As Suriya-Hari combination carries huge buzz among the trade circles.. 'Singam-3' has done bumper pre-release business. The total business of the film crossed Rs.100 crores including satellite, audio and digital rights. If we take only theatrical rights of Telugu-Tamil versions.. they have touched 90 crores. But everybody will get a shock if they have a look at the 'S-3' full run collections.
The movie has collected below Rs.60 crores in the full run in both Tamil and Telugu languages.. only 2/3rd of the investment was recovered by buyers. Going by the collection figures, 'S-3' can be termed as a disaster. Even though movie got a very good talk.. opening collections were good.. the final result appears to be really surprising. The movie release has been postponed for the release for 'Dhruva' in the December.. it has been postponed couple of times later. These postponements have become a biggest minus. As the movie was released in February.. which was the examinations season.. collections were severely affected.
When we talk about Telugu version Malkapuram Sivakumar acquired the rights for more than Rs.18 crores.. but the movie has collected only Rs.11 crores in the full run. It was a big blow to the Sivakumar because.. his earlier ventures were also turned out to be loss making. Tamil version collections are no different from Telugu version
