Single Dose Of Pfizer, Astrazeneca Protects Elderly People From Covid By 60%

The researchers at the famous University College London conducted a new study on how much protection the vaccine doses offer from the Covid virus for adults above the age of 60.
The study said that a single dose of vaccine gives protection of around 60 percent against the novel Coronavirus. The vaccine doses of Pfizer or AstraZeneca protects elderly people from respiratory disease.
The vaccine doses offer protection of 56 percent in 28-34 days and 62 percent in 38-45 days after taking the first dose of the vaccine. However, a single dose will not help people from beating the virus.
For the story, the researchers have examined more than 10,000 residents across 300 care home facilities. While a few respondents were above the age of 65, a few respondents are above 80 years.
Out of the total respondents, more than 9,000 were administered with at least a single dose. While 67 percent of them were given the AstraZeneca dose, the remaining respondents were administered Pfizer doses.
