Six Directors in race for Superstar's movie

A film in the combination of Rajinikanth and Shankar is expected to go on floors only in the first half of 2016 as a lot of pre-production work is to be done. In the meantime, Superstar wishes to do a film which could be shot at a rapid speed.
Kollywood buzz says, Rajinikanth has asked as many as six filmmakers who were very successful in the recent past to come up with something interesting. The list of directors include names such as AR Murugadoss, KV Anand, Pa Ranjith, Hari, Raghava Lawrence and Sundar C. Superstar will give his nod to the filmmaker who approaches him with a promising script and someone who is capable of completing a movie by the end of 2015.
Kalaipuli S Thanu is likely to produce this quickie. Insiders say, Lawrence is no more in the race after the producer refused his proposal of making a film with a mammooth budget of Rs 125 crore. It is learnt that Pa Ranjit who delivered films like 'Attakathi' and 'Madras' is the hot contender.
