Will The Film Industry Wait For New Guidelines?
By: Tupaki Desk | 12 Jun 2020 3:50 PM ISTThe government sounded positive about the prospect of restarting film shootings. But the laid some guidelines which need to be followed at all costs when the shootings resume again. While the thought of shootings getting started again is great, the guidelines are proving to be a problem for the filmmakers.
A lot of producers and directors are saying that these rules will increase the film budget and takes a lot of effort making it impossible to shoot. Nithiin's father Sudhakar Reddy who is a well known distributor in Nizam area recently spoke to an English daily and he claimed that they need at least 80-150 members on the sets but the government gave permission only for 45 people which makes it tough to shoot films.
He also states that the presence of a doctor at all times, safety kits, sanitizers, masks, and gloves will definitely shoot up the budget. He feels that the government should make some changes to the guidelines to make it easy for the filmmakers. Not just him but sources claim that many industry bigwigs are thinking in the same manner. We need to wait and see if they stop shootings till government ease up on the rules.
