Baahubali Producer Shobu Yarlagadda who is currently enjoying the massive success of S.S.Rajamouli's visual wonder Baahubali, says that the movie has passed through so many hurdles to become successful. He attended the Indian Film Festival in Melbourne on Tuesday where he openly spoke about the obstacles he overcame to make the movie.

The famous duo of Rajamouli and Yarlagadda worked together for Ram Charan's Magadheera movie too. He stated the problem they faced to make the movie are length and budget. The entire story was not fitting into the 3-hour limit.

"We thought of doing it as two parts. Even though Rajamouli tried to embed the story in that 3 hour time, we stopped him. But Rajamouli's confidence in the story helped us to steer our way through the hurdles. I believe in Rajamouli firmly. The two challenges were the timeline and budget. We did surpass the target deadline and the budget. Rs.120 crores we invested in the movie fell short, and we invested some more. The film was offered a North Indian release but wasn’t justified." Said Shobu Yarlagadda.

"The team had to face a lot of problems before the release of "Magadheera," but Rajamouli's confidence helped steer through the obstacles. So, for Baahubali, we planned for the Hindi release from the first day onwards and made it work out well pan-India. We started Baahubali knowing that there are going to be two parts. There are so many stories that can be told from Baahubali, but we cant put everything into the film. So when we started the movie, we took some main points and sorted them into the film." Shobu added.

However, the movie survived from all the struggles and became the first India's blockbuster movie with the worldwide collections of about Rs. 900 crores.
