Sonam Lands Dulquer Salmaan In Awkward Situation
By: Tupaki Desk | 14 Dec 2018 4:51 PM GMTSonam Kapoor and Dulquer Salmaan are currently acting together in the upcoming Bollywood film Zoya Factor which is based on an English novel. The film's shoot is currently happening at a brisk pace. The film's shoot is currently happening on the streets of Mumbai and the makers are canning some scenes on Dulquer going in a car. As per the planned schedule, the makers shot a scene where Dulquer is seen using his mobile phone while driving his vehicle.
The on-sets video of the particular scene was out on the social media but those who see it will not understand that Dulquer was actually shooting. Mumbai Police came across the video and expressed their anger on the actor. Sonam Kapoor posted the video to intend fun on the social media but Mumbai Police took it seriously.
Mumbai Police replied to Sonam who actually posted the video. They said, "Quite a 'weirdo' to try such stunts while driving and putting the lives of fellow drivers at risk too! We don’t quite approve of these even in ‘reel’ life. #NotDone" but Dulquer was upset with this miscommunication and expressed the same by writing to Mumbai Police on Twitter.
Dulquer wrote, "Would appreciate it if you had checked some facts before tweeting this. In fact @MumbaiPolice helped us with permissions and traffic management during the shoot and were present the whole time. The car was rigged to a low loader truck which was also the camera rig. I couldn't steer or drive the car even if I wanted to. Also this particular car cannot steer itself." and even Sonam too joined him and said, "We weren't driving we were rigged on a truck.. but I'm glad you guys are concerned.. I hope and I know you show the same interest in regular folk as well! Thanks for taking care! #Reelvsreal @dulQuer"
Later, Mumbai police realized their mistake and apologized. They then tweeted, "For us, No Mumbaikar is 'regular' they are all 'special'! And we are equally concerned about them all. Glad to know your safety wasn't 'rigged'. @sonamakapoor"
That's how the issue ended but these days, the police are very active on the social media and are responding to such incidents in no time.
