Sony Pictures Working Hard To Push 'Major' In Hindi!

After stealing Bollywood's thunder with big-budget pan-Indian movies like 'RRR', 'KGF â 2' and 'Pushpa', the Hindi film industry took a lot of time to recover. After a long time, Karthik Aryan's 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' got very numbers at the box office during the weekend. With some biggies like 'Prithviraj' getting ready to release, they are hopeful to turn things around. But Adivi Sesh's 'Major' is hitting the screens on the same day as Akshay Kumar's film.
Since the movie is based on Sandeep Unnikrishnan who sacrificed himself during the '26/11' Attacks in Mumbai, the North audience will definitely connect to it. This movie is released on a pan-Indian scale. This movie featuring Adavi Sesh is hitting the screens on 3rd June and it was produced by GMB Entertainments, A+S Movies and Sony Pictures jointly. The latest we hear is that the Sony Pictures banner is working very hard to market this film in the Northern market.
As we know, a lot of South films in recent times have created a storm at the North box office. Sony Pictures is also trying to do the same with 'Major'. The movie is in no way similar to the above-mentioned star hero films but it is quite different. Those films had grandeur and action episodes that make you awestruck. The masses go crazy for seeing their matinee idols in such a manner. But 'Major' is very unique and has the capacity to move the audience and strike an emotional chord. The 2008 Mumbai blasts are still fresh in the minds of many. RGV made '26/11' a few years back but 'Major' explores the life of Sundeep Unnikrishnan and how he gained the strength to sacrifice himself in the battlefield.
This high-class film may not have the elements the mass audience needs but the patriotic angle and emotional scenes are expected to keep everyone glued to their seats. Sony Pictures have a lot of confidence in this project and this is why they are promoting the movie heavily in the Hindi market. They are even expecting the movie to earn huge numbers at the box office. Let us wait and see if Sony Pictures' plan works out or not.
Veterans like Prakash Raj, Murali Sharma, Revathi and others are also a part of this film. 'Major' is being directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka who made 'Goodachari' earlier with Sesh. Abburi Ravi has penned the dialogues while Adivi Sesh himself provided the screenplay. Maratha beauty Saiee Manjrekar will be seen as Sandeep's love interest while Telugu girl Sobitha Dhulipala is playing a key role in this film.
