Biopics of Sachin Tendulkar (A Billion Dreams) and Dhoni (MS Dhoni: The Untold Story) have been widely appreciated. And now, It's time for a biopic of another Star Cricketerâ¦It's none other than Sourav Ganguly.
Production House Alt Balaji owned by Television Queen Ekta Kapoor is going to bankroll Ganguly's biopic. It's neither going to be a Feature Film nor Documentary but will be made as a Web Series.
This Web Series will be based on Sourav Ganguly's book 'A Century Is Not Enough'. It will cover the journey of Dada from Biren Roy Road in Kolkata to the balcony at Lord's where he took off his shirt and eventually to the Indian Premier League where his cricketing career ended.
Talks between Ganguly and Balaji are in the final stages. Filming could begin anytime soon if everything falls in place.
