Almost every filmmaker wishes that the theatre management put the 'Housefull' or 'Hall is full' boards for their movies. But a board is going to be seen infront of the theatres from March 1. It's not 'Housefull'board but a board saying 'Houseclose' or 'Theatre is closed'. Yes, what you read is right. This is the decision that the Telugu states took together. The entire South Theatres are going to follow this.
Digging into the story, after the usage of digital projector, the role of digital service providers became crucial. But the prices of their services are going out-of-pocket. Vexed management decided to protest against them and planning to shut all the theaters down from March 1 onwards. On this note, a South Indian Film Chamber Council underwent a meeting. Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce president Gemini Kiran and Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce president Murali Mohama Rao, Producers Suresh Babu, Syam Prasad Reddy, Vishal also attended this meeting. They decided to fight together and close all their theatres in South.
"Regarding this issue, we first want to discuss with digital service providers. We have too see upto what context will they agree to our demands. If we haven't got the positive response we will close the theaters from March 1st." said a member. It seems like the issue is becoming big and became a hot topic in filmnagar.
