Music lovers and fans are unable to digest the news that the legendary singer SP Balasubramaniam is no more. The man, who enthralled millions of people with his youthful voice, has died of an illness at 1.04 pm on Friday.
His death left a lasting tragedy not only for the family but also for the music family. The veteran singer took part in an event in Hyderabad in late May with music directors and singers to help music artists during the COVID crisis. He came to Hyderabad from Chennai for the event and participated in the event for three days.
Close acquaintances revealed that his wife Savitri had requested him not to go out as the virus is spreading heavily. But, Balu came to Hyderabad ignoring the words of the family members in order to help artists. It is learned that Balasubramaniam contracted coronavirus during the concert in Hyderabad.
