SPB Paying Royalty To Ilaiyaraja

In Film Industry, friendships don't last long but few do. But when those too go through some public altercations, we feel a bit hurt looking at such bond being tarnished.
SP Balasubramanyam, legendary Indian Singer, who completed 50 years as a singer successfully, has a great friendship and relation with Ilaiyaraja.
But that friendship has hit a hard rock when Ilaiyaraja sent notices demanding SPB during his concerts, a royalty amount for singing his songs at private events.
SPB felt bad for receiving notices from a friend for 40 years and he expressed it out.
In a recent interview, he clarified that he is paying royalty to Ilaiyaraja for singing his songs at concerts and he is continuing to sing Ilaiyaraja songs.
He also stated that he did feel bad about receiving notices but did not elaborate on if they patched up or are they still fighting.
Well, Ilaiyaraja never came out to say anything about it but few say he does regret sending notices. Anyways, the matter seems to have been solved between them. We hope to see them perform on stage, together, someday again, if that is possible.
