Special Committee To Take Call on OTT Releases in Tollywood?

It is known that a few issues are troubling the Tollywood film industry like the low hit percentage, ticket rates, and production costs. While the hit percentage is not something in the industry's hands, the rest of the things can be addressed.
Earlier today, the members of the Telugu Film Chamber came together for a key meeting to look into various issues. The producers have fixed a gap between the theatre release and OTT release based on the budget which was spent on making the films.
Though the general body took a call on the gap between the release, it has been widely reported that the members who were present in the meeting could not come to a common point and the special committee which was constituted to look into the OTT release will take a final call.
The proposal of the small films having a gap of six weeks between the theatrical and OTT release and the gap going up to 10 weeks for big films was pitched by a few filmmakers. However, it is said that few others had other views on this.
As the members of the council could not come to a common opinion on this, the decision on this is said to have been left with the special committee. With the ball in the special committee's court, we have to wait and see what the committee will decide as far as the OTT releases of the films are concerned.
