Star Hero Behind KGF 2's Delay?

KGF 2 is one of the most anticipated films in Indian cinema. The heavy-duty action thriller features Yash in the lead role and it is riding high on expectations. The fact that the teaser of the film had clocked over 203 million views already proves the buzz and anticipation surrounding the Prashanth Neel directorial. Hadn't it been for the second wave of Covid, the film would have hit the big screens across the globe on the 16th of this month. Interestingly, the makers are yet to take the final call on the release date. There seems to be a strange reason behind the delay in KGF 2's release.
Apparently, there is only one minor reason behind the delay in the completion of KGF 2's post-production. It is said that Sanjay Dutt, who plays the antagonist in KGF 2 is delaying the post-production. He is yet to complete the dubbing for the Hindi version of the film. When the makers roped in dubbing artists to dub for his role in other language variants, he is rejecting them, saying their modulations don't suit him.
The makers of KGF 2 are facing a tricky situation as they are unable to act against the interests of Sanjay Dutt, given his stature. And at the same time, he is delaying the post-production for a strange reason. The makers will take decisive action in this regard very soon. They plan to complete the post-production as early as they possibly can so they can decide on the release date.
KGF 2 is registering excellent pre-release business and Hombale Films who are bankrolling the project are laughing their way to the bank as they look set to make sizeable profits from the Yash starrer.
Meanwhile, both Prashanth Neel and Yash are working on their subsequent projects after KGF 2. While Prashanth Neel is directing pan-India superstar Prabhas in Salaar, Yash is set to star in a Kannada action thriller that will be helmed by a happening Kannada filmmaker.
Coming back to KGF 2, the film might be hitting the big screens this Christmas season. The makers are still in search of an optimal release date.
