The 16-Year-Old reveals that its her Stepmom who sold her to the MLA for Rs 50 lakhs. Later, The Legislator has sexually exploited her.
An FIR was booked against St.Cruz MLA Atanasio Monserrate under section 8 of Goa Children's Act, Sections 3 & 4 of POCSO Act. Police arrested the Legislator after he surrendered before them.
Based on the statement of the victim, Goa Cops arrested her mother on charges of child trafficking.
Atanasio Monserrate was expelled from Congress party a year ago due to anti-party activities. In the past, Cases were booked against him for extortion.
