Director Harish Shankar has also followed the path of other as he released the overseas version of "Subramanyam For Sale" himself. He confirmed that he is releasing the film there along with other of his friends.
Trade circles revealed that "Subramanyam For Sale" made nearly 88 lakhs rupees from Overseas and Harish Shankar has only 1/3 share in it. That means he will be making nearly 30 lakhs profit from the distribution. On the other hand director Maruthi who released "Bhale Bhale Magadivoyi" in USA is likely to get 2 crores share from the 6.1 crores collection that Nani starre made.
More and more directors are now taking Overseas rights as part of their remuneration.
