Anchor Suma crooned for special number 'Suya Suya...' featuring Sai Dharam Tej and Anasuya in 'Winner'. When Composer SS Thaman called her with the proposal to make her sing a song, The Leading Anchor initially thought it could be a prank call. Finally, Thaman made her believe that he is very serious about. After giving it a thought, She finally gave her consent and landed in Chennai for the recording.
Just before she sung the song, SS Thaman informed Suma that she was singing for Anasuya's first ever dance number. Suma was so excited to know about it and given her best.The only suggestion made by Thaman is to maintain a Tempo. Suma had a great time getting into the shoes of a playback singer.
Soon after the completion of the recording, Suma called Anasuya to inform that she herself sung the song and received a positive response from the other side. Suma and Anasuya knew each other since several years. They maintain a good rapport though competing at the highest level in the same field.
SP Balasubrahmaniam was quite surprised to know Suma has sung a song in a feature film. The Legendary Singer claimed to be happy for the Anchor.
Suma believes Anasuya's song has come out so well visually and she is eagerly waiting for the response in the theaters. February 24th, 2017!
