Summer Box Office Report of Telugu Film Industry!

April-May-June months can be named as Summer season for Box Office and the Telugu Film Industry is looking to increase the reach and grow in different markets this year too.
So, how did 2019 Summer perform for TFI? The answer is, "Not as sensational as 2018!"
In 2018, movie lovers got a triple treat during Summer with Rangasthalam, Bharat Ane Nenu and Mahanati became summer blockbusters. Naa Peru Surya is the only anticipated film that failed.
This year, April started with Majili becoming a huge success for Naga Chaitanya with 35 croresplus share for the first time in his career. Next, Sai Dharam Tej could save himself from total box office abolishment with Chitralahari. Movie is his first break-even film after 6 disasters.
Kanchana-3 became a success with the first week collections in B & C Centres becoming a rage. Nani's Jersey did get affected by it but 'A' centres saved it. Critics marked it as best film of 2019 but it ended slightly less than 30 crores share, still a break-even hit.
May started with Tollywood postponing movies as Avengers EndGame opening threatened everyone. Maharshi became a successful film despite mixed talk. It is the biggest success of Mahesh Baby's career.
All other films in May failed and Falaknuma Das could rake in some interest during first weekend. Movie earned its costs during the time.
June saw Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya and Brochevarevarura becoming surprise hits while Kalki from Dr. Rajasekhar seems to head for a flop or below average performance, if not disaster.
Mallesham got good reviews from critics but people did not show interest in watching it at theaters. Seetha, First Rank Raju, Hippi after generating some interest on social media failed to even get a good opening on first weekend.
All-in-all, 2019 is a disappointing Summer season as many films did end up losing more than what others gained.
