Chiyaan Vikram is an impeccable actor. Since his early days, the star has been trying unique scripts and this is his USP. He is known for his ability to step into the skin of the character and he can go to any distance in this process.

Vikram joined hands with celebrated director Pa Ranjith for an interesting project 'Thangalaan'. The upcoming film revolves around the lives of Kolar Gold Field (KGF) mine workers. Vikram went through a physical transformation for the film and the teaser hinted at the massive scale of the upcoming film.

The shoot is going on at a rapid pace and Vikram was injured earlier. The Superstar went through treatment and took a break from the shoot. Announcing his injury, Chiyaan Vikram thanked everyone for their support on the occasion.

Now the news is that Vikram recovered from the injury completely and would take part in the shoot soon. He would join the rest of the cast soon and take part in the final schedule of the shoot. Makers are happy that Vikram recovered from his injury and would participate in the shoot son.

As per the grapevine, Vikram is expected to join the rest of the crew on the 15th of this month and would take part in the last schedule of the shoot. The shoot is in the last leg and the shooting part would be completed with the last schedule which is expected to last for around two weeks.

Directed by PA Ranjith, Thangalaan is based on Kolar Gold Field (KGF) mine workers and is bankrolled by K.E. Gnanavel Raja's Studio Green Production House and Pa. Ranjith's Neelam Productions. The big-budget film will be released in multiple languages. Earlier the makers dropped a glimpse on the eve of Vikram's birthday which received a good response. The film has an ensemble cast of Parvathy, Malavika Mohanan, Daniel Caltagirone, Hari Krishnan Anbudurai, Preethi Karan, and Muthukumar.

Vikram was last seen in Mari Ratnam's magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan which is based on a novel that talks about the Chola Dynasty. Vikram played Chola Prince Aditha Karikalan in the Pan-India film which was released in two parts.
