Why Baasha sequel is suicidal?
'Baasha' is monstrous hit in the 90s and even Today it is being treated as one of the best films ever made down South. The Rajinikanth starrer hit the screens in January 1995. Its been two decades now and countless films with this hit formula till date including some of the Tollywood blockbusters such as Samarasimha Reddy, Narasimanaidu and Indra.

Is there a scope for a sequel to 'Baasha' which became a trendsetter? Even there were widespread rumours since few months about such developments. However, The Man behind the classic says making a sequel to such a film will be suicidal.

Suresh Krishna who directed the original feels Baasha is a classic and a film with some unbelievable magnetic power. "Even after two decades, 'Baasha' is in the hearts of film lovers. I feel nobody should dare to attempt a sequel to this classic," he told.

Sources say, Rajinikanth too is of the same opinion and hence he have any plans of being part of a sequel to 'Baasha'.
