Suriya's 'Aakasame Nee Haddu Ra' Stands In The Oscars Race!

After a set of disappointing films, star hero Suriya bounced back with 'Soorarai Pottru' which was dubbed as 'Aakasam Nee Haddu Ra'. The film was an inspiring tale that was brilliantly executed by Sudha Kongara, Suriya gave one of his career-best performances for this movie which won the accolades of everyone.
Now, this beautiful film got nominated for Oscars in multiple departments under General Category. It has been made available in the Academy screening room as it is in the race for Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress & Best Original Score. The film's Co-producer Rajsekar Pandian officially announced it on social media and shared his happiness.
Music director GV Prakash Kumar too announced that 'Soorarai Pottru' entered the Oscars race. It was released directly on Amazon Prime in November 2020 and was the OTT platform's biggest hit last year. While it is quite early to predict the chances, let us hope for the best.
