Suriya Film Is Unable To Attract Distributors!
By: Tupaki Desk | 5 Aug 2019 11:59 AM GMTSuriya film, Bandosbast is scheduled for 20th September release as the makers decided to not clash with Saaho, releasing on 30th August.
They first thought of 15th August date but went for 30th August date and now, moved to 20th September.
The team is now concerned about Telugu version release. The makers of any Suriya film invest high looking at his Tamil, Telugu and Kerala markets.
His Ghajini and ascendency to stardom after that helped him to establish a 70-80 crores gross market in South India and strong Tamil markets in Overseas.
But Telugu states have been rejecting half baked movies from Suriya ever since his Sikander and now, Bandobast/Kaappaan needs a good distributor to secure theatres.
The producers are offering low rates and discounts but still the distributors are scared to take the movie as even his NGK lost money, recently.
Hence, a sure market of 8-10 crores seems to have vanished from Suriya's repertoire. Even with Mohan Lal being a star of the film, who gained market lately with Janatha Garage and Manyam Puli is also not helping the team.
KV Anand's name as Rangam director, combination craze factor of Veedokkade and Brothers, is also not working for the film. Really, a sad low for Suriya who seemed invincible during Singham 2 release and success.
