Rumours began doing rounds that Tamil star Suriya will be playing Gemini Ganesan in the biopic of Savitri, 'Mahanati'.
Savitri got married to Gemini Ganesan (Chiru's Father in Rudraveena). The couple have two children (Vijaya Chamundeswari, Sathish Kumar).
Movie believed the speculations as Keerthy Suresh, the latest sensation down South, is playing the lead role in Savitri's biopic. However, Suriya's Team condemned the reports in circulation.
Director Rajasekhar Pandian who is also the co-producer of Suriya's Production House 2D Entertainment clarifies the Versatile Hero hasn't signed 'Mahanati' at all.
'Mahanati' will have a simultaneous release in Tamil as 'Nadigaiyar Thilagam'. Nag Ashwin of 'Yevade Subramaniam' fame helms this biopic. Samantha does a key role. Ashwini Dutt produces this prestigious project.
