Suriya's Crucial Decision On Supporting Staff!

Tamil star hero Suriya has taken a decision to pay the salaries of his supporting staff from his own pocket and his decision is welcomed by the producers. Tamil producers council has recently discussed the various problems faced by the producers and how to reduce the burden of the producers. The decision from a star hero like Suriya will reduce Rs.15 to 20 lakh burden on the producers for each film.
It is a common practice in Kollywood that the salaries of supporting staff like makeup men, designers etc. are paid by the producers. There are some heroes who make the producer pay the salaries of their bouncers as well. As soon as Suriya announced his decision, his younger brother Karthi and Tamil Producers Council President Vishal also announced that they will also pay the salaries of their supporting staff.
Though their decision is appreciated by many people, some trade analysts in Kollywood are saying that these three heroes do the majority of their films in their own home banner. As they themselves are the producers in the majority of the cases, they won't have any issue.. what about other Kollywood heroes? It is interesting to see how they are going to respond to this issue.
