Talented actress Taapsee Pannu is very vocal on social media. She doesn't hesitate to speak her mind and never shies away from making bold comments when needed. She gives her opinion on various subjects including movies, politics, women empowerment and many others. She is currently acting in 'Rashmi Rocket', 'Sabhaash Mithu' and others. Recently, Taapsee's romantic mystery thriller 'Haseena Dilruba' came out on Netflix.

Taapsee impressed everyone with her glamour as well as her performance while the two male actors Vikrant Massy and Harshavardhan Rane did a good job too. But the film was panned by some critics and this did not go down well with Taapsee as she said that making personal comments is no way to criticise a film. A netizen shared an article on the film which said that 'Haseena Dilruba' was stupid. Taapsee witnessed it and lashed out at them by stating, "Movie reviewing is very subjective. Criticism of the film and character is welcomed and helps me learn n improve which I feel I have a huge scope of but personal digs is what pulls down a critic to a troller."

Apart from this, Delhi municipal councillor Yasmin Kidwai and documentary filmmaker said that 'Haseena Dilruba' promotes domestic violence and toxic masculinity. Replying to her, Taapsee said, "If we want films to not reflect the society we live in and constantly present what is the ideal world to be in then I think we should stop raising voice against all those powers too that suppress the voice of cinema when reality is projected."

Taapsee also defended herself by clarifying, "I made sure I get better. I am the last one who has ever gotten defensive in 11 years for any kind of stuff written about me anywhere." While some came in her support, the others took a few digs at her saying that there is no need to respond in such a strong way as no one attacked her personally.
