Tamanna's Exit From Raju Gari Gadhi-3 Justified
By: Tupaki Desk | 19 Oct 2019 6:14 AM GMTTamanna is still a star as an actor. She is not that senior or she is not at such a desperate stage in her career that she acts in an inconsequential role opposite a 10-year junior hero with no market.
Ohmkar might find it hard to accept but the fact is Ashwin Babu is not a bankable star or hero at the box office.
Tamanna did not act with Santhanam, the comedian turned hero for whom Dhilluku Duddu-2, original Tamil movie, was designed. So, expecting her to act with Ashwin even for hiked remuneration when she played the lead role opposite Megastar Chiranjeevi in Sye Raa kind of film seems outlandish.
Ohmkar might have wanted to go Alludu Seenu route where Samantha and Tamanna agreed to appear in the film without considering the hero, to launch his brother.
There VV Vinayak was the director and he was a box office hit guarantee commercial director back at that time. Ohmkar isn't, even though he might believe his popularity as a host and TV director of reality and game shows, movies like Genius, Raju Gari Gadhi franchise can be at least put on the same page.
He could get Nagarjuna and Samantha on board for RGG-2 because they had good characters that don't damage their market. After looking at Avika Gor's character in RGG-3, Tamanna's request for script change and her departure from the project seems valid.
For a film remake that would be ideal for, say Vennela Kishore kind of comedian turned hero, even asking an actress like Tamanna to share the screen with the lead seems highly delusional.
