Tamil Audience Not The Same As The Telugu Movie Lovers!

The movie lovers in the Telugu states are quite liberal as per many. They encourage heroes from all the languages and give them hits if the content impresses them. Over the years, weâve seen a lot of Tamil heroes like Rajnikanth, Kamal Hassan, Suriya, Vishal and others getting good revenues from the Telugu market. Vijay and Dhanush are increasing their market gradually in the Telugu states and they are now arriving with straight Telugu films to win over the crowds.
Vijay is going to work with Vamsi Paidipally under Dil Rajuâs production which is going to be a bilingual while Dhanush has announced a pan-Indian project with Telugu class director Sekhar Kammula. There is a serious talk about Suriya teaming up with Boyapati Sreenu and another crazy Siva Karthikeyan is also aiming at our market. While the Telugu audience are encouraging the Tamil heroes and giving them huge collections, our star heroes are not finding the same luck in Tamil Nadu. We also saw hero Atharva working in a straight Telugu film âGaddalakonda Ganeshâ. Since then, most of his films are getting dubbed in Telugu.
None of the Telugu star heroes who are tried to get a good market in Kollywood became successful. The Tamil movie lovers never show the same level of love towards the Telugu audience which they have towards their own heroes. Mahesh tasted a flop with âSpyderâ and so did many other actors like Nani and Sharwanand. While our directors are penning stories for their stars, we have not seen such things being done in the last few years.
Now, Shankar is working with Ram Charan and Ram is working with Lingusamy. There are a few other projects in the discussions stage and it is to be seen how many of them work out. Nowadays, most of our stars are aiming at the Northern market rather than trying to get a grip of the Kollywood box office. Though history is against our Telugu heroes, they are hoping to make it big in Kollywood now. Let us wait and see how things are going to turn out for heroes in the coming days.
