Tamil Directors Giving Huge Problems For Dil Raju!

Dil Raju is one of the top producers in Tollywood and he is also making his debut in Kollywood with Thalapathy Vijay's 'Variysu'. He already bankrolled a few projects in Hindi like 'Jersey' and 'HIT'. Apart from bankrolling small and medium films in Tollywood, he is even ready to produce pan-Indian films on a big scale. As the landmark 50th film under his banner, he roped in Shankar to make a political thriller with Ram Charan as the hero and Kiara Advani as the heroine.
The project started on a grand note and big star cast was announced along with elite technicians. The movie went on to the floors as soon as Ram Charan finished 'RRR'. The shooting was done at a quick pace before it came to a halt. As we know, Shankar decided to resume working on 'Indian 2' which was stopped due to some serious differences. Despite promising to work on both the films, Shankar is currently focused only on Kamal Hassan's project and it has not gone down well with Dil Raju. Also, Raju reportedly had a budget in mind and Shankar too accepted it. Sources say that Shankar finished the allotted budget even before 50% of the shooting was wrapped up.
Dil Raju is always known to make good films on controlled budgets but his plans are going awry when it comes to director Shankar. Also, he released the Telugu version of 'Ponniyin Selvan - 1'. This high-budget film starring a big cast like Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai and Trisha is directed by none other than legendary Mani Ratnam. Dil Raju released a lot of Mani's films in Telugu but 'PS - 1' was bought for a higher prize due to the buzz around it. The talk on the first day was quite bad in Telugu and the movie has failed to live up to the expectations according to many. Sources claim that the collections are not that encouraging too. It looks like both Shankar and Mani Ratnam are creating problems for Dil Raju.
