Tammareddy Expresses His Dissatisfaction Over RRR!

Tamareddy Bharadwaja is considered as one of the senior most filmmakers in Tollywood. He is known for speaking his mind regarding the film fraternity and other issues. He recently opened up about the Telugu film industry's biggest hit 'RRR'. He expressed his unhappiness over the hike in ticket rates, selection of the story and other issues.

He says, "People are saying that 'RRR' was watched by a lot of people on the first day and it created huge records. But 'Lava Kusa' was watched by one crore and seventy five lakh people even at a time when our whole population was just three crores.

The ticket rates of 'RRR' were increased massively. It is not right to increase the hype massively and getting huge collections by raising the rates. The film would have got the same amount of money without the hike in prizes but it might have taken more time."

"In my opinion, spending more than required and rising the ticket prizes heavily is not at all reasonable. Rajamouli is a great director. He would have scored a huge hit if told Alluri Seetha Ramaraju's story or Komuram Bheem's story.

But it is not right to bring them together and cook up a story. There is a chance that people who don't know history might think that Alluri and Bheem are good friends. We should not rewrite history. The film would have earned more it explained the story of only one freedom fighter," he claimed.

He added, "Rajamouli is known for not wasting a single second when he commits to a project. He spends all the 24 hours on the film. He once said that he makes a film without wasting a single frame.

If he worked like that, why would the film require such a huge budget? Why does it take such a long time? Due to this new pan-India phenomenon, the actors are getting huge remunerations.

They are quoting the same rates for their upcoming films too and this effect can be seen on the ticket rates. Heroes need to think about their fans too."
