Sometimes we cannot predict how life takes a turn in Film Industry. Assistant Director Ravi Teja tuned into a big hero now, Suresh Babu who wanted to be an actor turned into a producer. SS Rajamouli who started his career as an assistant editor became a famous director, Vennela Kishore who wanted to be a writer and director turned into a comedian now. Several people get a chance to live their dreams after their children grow up. Now, this director's mother did the same thing.
Pelli Choopulu movie director Tharun Bhaskar always said his mother helped him in shaping his career. The mother of this 28 year old director, Geetha Bhaskar is now debuting as an actor in the movie, Fidaa. Director Shekhar Kammula wanted a fresh face for the mother role in his movie and so he took auditions of many. Geetha Bhaskar acted in her son's short films, Shekhar Kammula saw her in those films and decided to give her a chance. He auditioned her to see if she can deliver goods for a full length role. She got the role and Shekhar Kammula said, "Nobody will call her Tharun Bhaskar's mother anymore, Tharun Bhaskar will be known as her son. She did such a strong role in the movie and performed like a professional."
