Teja Just Proved His Critics, Right!

Critics and film criticism have become joke in Telugu Cinema. Most of the times critics and reviewers analyse the film better and recommend accordingly.

Box office status of a film is no way related to their opinions as the film criticism is mostly independent of how people will receive a movie. It is more about analysing a movie's story and the potential it has to connect and achieve than the ultimatum.

Filmmakers like Nagi Reddy, Chakrapani, directors like KV Reddy used to give film criticism good attention and then follow on with their other projects.

A film critic like Kamalakara Kameswara Rao later became director of many films that have become huge blockbusters and he got a chance to direct because Nagi Reddy invited him after reading his criticism.

Dasari Narayana Rao, Kodandarami Reddy, K. Raghavendra Rao used to take critics seriously and see if the film came out well. If their films failed, they used to take the reviews and use them to understand what mistakes happened along with their core team.

As they all did multiple films, they used to give their assistants the task to tell them the gist and if their film got rave reviews, filmmakers used to use them for publicity.

But Teja as a director and writer spoke in many interviews from his first film against critics and asked them to write about his films in a negative way and stated that it helps him and he doesn't care so much about it too.

RGV used to have similar ideology and a notion that critics know nothing was carried. Unfortunately, some high profile media sites have made their argument and allegations true.

Latest release of Teja, Sita proved that critics who said that Teja as a director and writer hasn't changed much during Nene Raju Nene Mantri are right.

Teja tried to follow similar style of screenplay like all his films but Nene Raju Nene Mantri had good actors who could rise above script. In Sita that template did not work as Bellamkonda Srinivas couldn't rise the mediocre and lazy writing with his performance.
