US: Dull Week Extended At The BO!

US market is one of the biggest markets for the Telugu films but dull phase has been going on for Telugu films for the past few weeks. If we talk about the films that had fared reasonably well at the box office are 'Sammohanam' and 'Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi'. Apart from these films none of the new releases could make an impact at the box office.

The last week, 'Pantham'.. 'Teju I Love You' couldn't strike a chord with the overseas audience. Though Karunakaran-Teju pinned hopes on their film because it is a romantic entertainer. But it turned out to be dud. The situation of Gopichand's 'Pantham' was more or less the same. If we talk about this week's releases, all the three films failed to take the advantage of summer holidays in the US.

While Kalyaan Dhev's Vijetha collected $21 K by the end of Friday, 'Chinna babu collected $32K for both Tamil and Telugu versions. Comparatively, 'RX 100' is better because it has registered $43K. Considering the low budget, 'RX 100' collection figure appears to be good. If we look at the overall picture of US Box Office, these numbers are pretty disappointing.
