Telugu Washington DC and NYC -Vizag?

Vishakapatnam or Vizag has a prominent place in Andhra Pradesh state's revenue and cultural history. Also, it is a naval base for Indian Coastal Army. With such huge importance to the city, many might feel that it is replacing Hyderabad for Telugu storytellers.
In Hollywood films, if New York City and Manhattan are the main crime and cultural underbellies for a story setting, Washington DC is the major security threat as it is the capital of the country and home for country's President and Pentagon, the Military Headquarters.
In Superhero films, we see many aliens attacking New York and Washington DC to claim the control the most powerful country and dominate the world, thus. Also, many action films come with the themes like White House being occupied by the vested interests and President being kidnapped and Pentagon being attacked and several other themes.
Now, Vizag has become that city for Telugu films. Recently, we saw Ghazi, a military based film talking about the importance of Vizag for Indian Army. Now, in Jayam Ravi's Space thriller, Tik Tik Tik, Vizag is under threat of an asteroid attack and to blast the asteroid in space, a magician, Ravi is given the mission to secure a huge nuke.
We have to wait and see, what Shakti Sounder Rajan came up with in the film but Vizag becoming so prominent should be noticed. There are many love stories based on Vizag and even the city is seen as an underbelly for crime mafia in films like Singham.
In a way, we have to say for Hollywood NYC and Washington DC are the most important cities and for Telugu movie makers, Vizag is serving both the interests. What is your take on this?
