Performances:
Srikanth excelled as a cop in 'Khadgam'. After a very long time, He succeeded in leaving such a huge impact on the audience with 'Terror'. With his marvelous performance, He yet again proves his ability to steal the show if a good character comes his way. Getting into the skin of the character, He exhibited aggression and sincerity in a beautiful way.
Nikhita's role as female lead doesn't have much prominence. Kota Srinivasa Rao leaves a mark of his own. Ravi Varma is pretty good. Nasser and Pruthvi does a decent job.
Pros:
Srikanth's Performance
Background Score
Screenplay
Direction
Cons:
Lack of Commercial Elements
Technicalities:
'Terror' doesn't have any songs as Director doesn't want to deviate from the actual plot for the sake of commercial elements. Sai Kartheek's Background Score is superb and it helped in maintaining the tempo. Shyam Prasad's Camera Work is good. Dialogues by Lakshmi Bhupal are fine. Production Values were alright and makers have compromised a bit due to budget constraint. Still, Producer deserves credit for investing on such a project which doesn't boast any commercial ingredients. Satish Kasetty showed his potential as a Director. Even though the story is simple, He made the proceedings interesting with a taut screenplay and deserves a pat on his back for fighting all the odds to deliver such a product.
Analysis:
Srikanth lost most of his loyal fans in the past few years and blame it on the series of flops he delivered. Fortunately, 'Terror' will earn him respect and makes all of his fans feel proud of him. Thanks to National Award Winning Director Satish Kasetty for making this happen!
'Terror' doesn't have either Songs or Comedy Tracks. Satish Kasetty believed in his subject and didn't rely on commercial elements to market his film. The gripping screenplay he provided for the Cop Thriller need to be appreciated. While the first 20 minutes of the movie appears to be a bit slow-paced, Tempo picks up thereafter and never goes down. The twists in the subject offer better movie watching experience for the viewers.
Srikanth's Performance and Central Plot which offers thrill hits the right chord with the audience. Not deviating from the actual plot helped the makers in keeping the runtime short. Of course, Father-Son bonding scenes and and editing in Climax block could have been better. Audience who embrace content-driven/genre-based films would like 'Terror'.
Bottom Line: Marks Srikanth's Comeback!
