Thaman opens up about his Remuneration

SS Thaman gave an exclusive interview to media ahead of 'Sarrainodu' release. Few comments made by him regarding the pay package of the Music Directors has raised many eye-brows. 'As Music Directors, We have to bear a lot of expenses like advanced equipment and salaries of singers. So, The quality of the album will be depended on the remuneration offered,' confirms the Composer.
We are used to Composers claiming they treat small & big films equally, and there won't be any discrimination in terms of quality. But, Thaman's statement proves there is little truth in this statement.
Did Thaman made such a statement to send a clear message to Producers of small-budget films? Are all the young crop of composers having the same mindset? Should people appreciate Thaman for speaking out the truth? One thing is for sure...Thaman needn't worry about Money Matters much as long as he composes chartbuster songs.
