'Thangalaan' First Look: Vikram Goes Experimental Once Again!
By: Tupaki Desk | 16 Jan 2023 12:47 PM GMTThe first thing we remember when we hear the name Kolar Gold Fields is Prasanth Neel's super hit 'KGF' which was narrated in two parts. The two chapters which came out in 2019 and 2022 were highly successful and gained nationwide recognition. Now, another big project is being made in the backdrop of Kolar Gold Fields. This time, it is a Tamil film that will be shot in Hindi as well and it is going to be released in multiple Indian languages.
Pa Ranjith who made films like 'Kaala', 'Kabali', 'Sarpatta Parambarai' and others will be directing this movie while star hero Chiyaan Vikram will be seen as the protagonist. The movie will be set in the 19th century and it is going to be made in 3D too. The movie is titled 'Thangalaan' and GV Prakash Kumar is the music composer of this film.
Vikram went into experimental mode once again as we can see the actor sitting on a donkey and holding a knife in his hand. With ash all over his body, the poster looks chilling and kudos to Vikram for pushing the boundaries every time. Produced under the Studio Green banner, Netflix bought the digital streaming rights post the theatrical release.
According to reports, Pa Ranjith's film will be focused on the lives of people in mines during the 19th century. It is Vikram's 61st project and his last outing 'PS – 1' turned out to be a good hit in Tamil Nadu. He arrived in August with 'Cobra' which ended up as a failure. We need to wait and see how his movie with a director like Pa Ranjith is going to be.
