Why Pelli Choopulu Director is so upset?

'Pelli Choopulu' stood as the biggest commercial success in Tollywood last year in terms of investment and recovery. Still, All the major award ceremonies didn't bother to appreciate the efforts put in by the whole team. Except for Priyadarsi who was picked up as Best Comedian, None of the Cast and Crew of 'Priyadarsi' received any honors. This didn't go down well with the man who is behind the success of this small-budget flick.
Director Tharun Bhaskar expressed his anguish at the way Award Ceremonies have been conducted these days. He dared to say Award Functions were more like celebration Stardom so that TRPs can be guaranteed. Lastly, He pledged never to bow down to either stardom or market dynamics in his career.
These days, Award Ceremonies have become like Entertainment Shows. Will someone like R Narayana Murthy be presented Best Actor award ever even if he performs better than any of the Heroes in a calendar year? That itself shows how the Jury Members would finalize the Nominations & Winners list!
