The Iconic 'Nayagan' Duo Teams Up For #KH234!

Legendary actor Kamal Hassan is riding high on the success of his action drama 'Vikram' which came out in June. On the other hand, senior filmmaker Mani Ratnam made a comeback with 'PS â 1'. Though this magnum opus pan-Indian project failed to make a mark in other languages, it turned out to be a blockbuster in Tamil and earned humongous collections. These two iconic names in Indian cinema are reuniting after a gap of 35 years.
In 1987, they created a cult classic film 'Nayakudu' and movie lovers speak about it even today. On the occasion of Universal Hero Kamal's birthday, they announced #KH234 which will mark the return of Mani Ratnam and Kamal Hassan combo. Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam, R Mahendran, and Siva Ananth will be producing the movie under their banners Raaj Kamal Films International and Madras Talkies. Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies presents the film.
The legendary actor said, "I was equally excited 35 years before when I was about to start work with Mr. Mani Ratnam. Collaborating with a similar mindset is stimulating. This stimulation includes Mr. Rahman as well. Eagerly looking forward to presenting this venture with Mr. Udhayanidhi Stalin." Mani Ratnam stated that he is happy, honoured and excited to collaborate with Kamal Sir again. The magical combination of two legends will have music by another legend AR Rahman. The makers have also announced to release the movie in 2024.
Producer Udayanidhi Stalin who also an actor and a politician said, "It's a wonderful opportunity to join Kamal Sir in presenting 'Ulaganayagan KH 234' after the great success of Vikram and the much-awaited Indian 2. An absolute honour to present this film and tell this special story. Kamal sir and Mani sir have been the pride of Tamil cinema globally and I have been an ardent admirer of both these iconic personalities. Thank you Kamal sir for this great opportunity."
