The Real Test To 'Brahmastra' Starts Now!
By: Tupaki Desk | 12 Sep 2022 11:52 AM GMTPrestigious project 'Brahmastra' is one of the most-anticipated pan-Indian films this year. Directed by Ayan Mukherjee, the makers planned to showcase this story in three parts. The first part titled 'Brahmastra: Shiva' came out on 9th September amidst a lot of hype and expectations. Ranbir and Alia Bhatt are the hero and heroine in this project while Big B Amitabh Bachchan, King Nagarjuna, Mouni Roy and others played key roles. Bollywood Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan gave a special appearance in this high-budget supernatural drama.
Produced jointly by Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Prime Focus and Star Light Pictures, this grand project is an adventure film with a lot of supernatural elements inspired by the Hindu gods. 'Baahubali' and 'RRR' director SS Rjaamouli presented this film in South India. 'Brahmastra: Shiva' got a mixed response from the audience. While the visuals and action sequences were heavily praised, the audience and critics felt that the love story was focused way too much while the real story was sidelined. But the advance bookings helped the film in getting huge collections. It got 75 crores worldwide on its first day. It made 35 crores in India itself and this is a huge feat considering it was the non-holiday weekend. The movie crossed 100 crores without breaking a sweat and trade pundits claim that it grossed 225 crores worldwide in three days.
While everyone is excited about these collections, the real test starts today i.e Monday. The collections today determine the future of this film at the box office. The movie already got average reviews and if the collections on Monday are not up to the mark, there is a high chance that the film may end up in losses. We will get to know how 'Brahmastra Part One: Siva' turns out in the next few hours.
The stellar cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Nagarjuna, Amitabh Bachchan, and Shah Rukh Khan and the jaw-dropping visuals are its biggest strengths. The songs are quite good while the dialogues are one of the main drawbacks.
