Where Is 'Bhaagamathie' Director Now?

Directors who deliver a hit become hot property in the film industry. Big production houses approach them and stars give chances to them. But this is not the case with director Ashok whose last film was a good hit.
Ashok delivered a hit like 'Bhaagamathie' in 2018 but this director did not come up with another film in the past two years. Ashok previously directed 'Pilla Zamindar' with Nani and it is considered as a favorite film for many. The film gets good viewership even now. Ashok's only failure was 'Sukumarudu' but Anushka's 'Bhaagamathie' but he didn't get a lot of opportunities in Telugu.
This made the director to shift his base to Hindi. He is currently directing a film called 'Durgavathi' which has Bhumi Pednekar in the lead. This is the remake of 'Bhaagamathie'. The Hindi remake is under production right now and Akshay Kumar is the producer. We need to wait and see if he becomes successful in Hindi or not.
