Samantha claimed she was more relaxed and confident about the success of 'Theri' (Policeodu) as Director Atlee of 'Raja Rani' fame did a terrific job. Last night, The Golden Leg commented there is nothing more stressful then the night before the release. She, however, hoped God & Audience will prove her judgement was right in the case of 'Theri'.
Unfortunately, 'Theri' opened with mixed reports Worldwide Today. Movie Buffs blame Atlee for wafer thin storyline and poor execution. Although the honest performances of Vijay and Samantha were praised, Not many reviewers dared to offer at least 3 Rating Points for 'Theri'.
If the Tamil version receives such lukewarm response, What would be the fate of Telugu version? Will Dil Raju burn his hands again by distributing a Vijay-starrer (Snehitudu, Policeodu)? Even delaying the release by one day (April 15th) will have a huge impact on the openings as the negative talk spreads like wildfire.
