The Filmy Festival is here!

Normally, Summer season is the biggest movie season around the world but in India, due to several big festivals, we get to celebrate multiple filmy festivals during different seasons. Now, after Baahubali the big films are releasing for this Eid and we are going to be greeted with epic entertainers within less than 20 hours.

In South, Ramzan/Eid is not recognised as a big holiday but the collections Salman Bhai Khan, managed to mint at the box office from several years with his Eid releases seems to have changed the thinking of many moviemakers in South as well. In Malayalam, Prithiviraj is releasing Thiyyam and in Tamil Silambarasan aka Simbu is releasing his two part triple role extravaganza Anbhadavan Asuradhavan Adhangadhavan 1D, the second part of the movie could release next year or by the end of this year. Along with him, Jayam Ravi with Sayyesha will be hitting the screens as Vanamagan.

As Bhai's Tubelight is already started playing in UAE, trade pundits are predicting that it will face great competition from Allu Arjun's Duvvada Jagannadam in India, especially South. Duvvada Jagannadam has got a wide release in more than 1800 screens across India. As Allu Arjun is on a success streak with Race Gurram, S/O Satyamurthy and Sarrainodu, he is looked upon as the hot favourite to win the competition in South Box Office big time and also the actor's popularity in Malayalam could help him score big too.

On the whole, trade pandits are busy predicting that Tubelight will face stiff competition from Duvvada Jagannadam and they say, it will be about the collections they put up this Eid season in India and rest other will not come close to the business of these films.
