Three Hits Bring Back Life To The Overseas Market!

After facing a lot of failures in June and July, the month of August is turning out to be a pretty good one. Out of four major releases, three of them turned out to be very good hits. They are running successfully in theatres and are posting good numbers at the box office.
Not just in India but the collections are equally good in the US market as well. Last week two Telugu films and two Hindi movies came out and it is 'Karthikeya 2' which is going strong at the overseas market. Nikhil's mystery thriller has reportedly earned $400K in two weeks and is inching toward the half-million dollar mark.
Trade pundits claim that 'Karthikeya 2' got $95,526 on Friday, $178,335 on Saturday and approximately $160k on Sunday. It grossed $433k approximately in the weekend. With Nithiin's film turned out to be a huge disaster it managed to mint only $69k this weekend.
Coming to 'Laal Singh Chadda', it got a very bad talk. Aamir's film grossed $1.5 million in its first weekend and it is the lowest for Aamir Khan's standard. Sadly, 'Raksha Bandhan' featuring Akshay Kumar in the lead turned out to be a bigger disappointment.
While 'Bimbisara' earned half a million dollars till date and turned out to be Kalyan Ram's biggest hit in the US market, classic love story 'Sita Ramam' crossed the $1 million mark at the end of its second week run at the box office.
