Mahesh Babu committed to do his landmark 25th flick for two production houses (Dil Raju - Sri Venkateswara Creations, Ashwini Dutt - Vyjayanthi Movies). The dispute with Vamshi Paidipally helped Prasad V Potluri play a role in the production.
Dil Raju takes the lead when it comes to creative aspects, planning & executive. In the matters related to the trade, All the three Producers will have to reach consensus for implementing any decision. This situation is eventually leading to the delay in the closure of pre-release business.
A Distribution House had recently approached the Makers of 'Maharshi' with a fancy offer of Rs 16 crore for the Overseas rights. Dil Raju was more than happy to close the deal but he couldn't proceed due to the reluctance of Ashwini Dutt. The Veteran Producer believes that a project like 'Maharshi' can fetch few more crores if they wait for some time. Or else, He is even keen to opt for an own release in Overseas.
Whether this is a right move or not will be known only after the closure of the deal or post the theatrical release. Seems like, Success of 'Mahanati' boosted the confidence of Ashwini Dutt.
