Ticket Hikes Becoming A Threat For Theatres!

We are witnessing a new trend of hiking ticket prices for the first couple of days for big films lately. Rajamouli's 'RRR' and others received such permissions from both the Telugu governments and it is justified considering the enormous budget involved. But the government is giving permission to increase the ticket rates of dubbing films too which is shocking everyone.

Yash's upcoming action-drama 'KGF - 2' is releasing this weekend and we can see on booking sites that the ticket price is around 400 rupees in Hyderabad. The permission was given in both the Telugu states. Similarly, Vijay's 'Beast' has also been released with huge ticket prices. Interestingly, the tickets in Chennai are hanging around Rs 200 while the ticket rates are going to double the amounts in Hyderabad. While this may benefit the producers and buyers, the movie lovers who are spending money from their pockets are suffering heavily.

This new phenomenon is working well right now but it may pose a greater threat. Experts predict that the footfalls will be drastically reduced as people who cannot spend such huge amounts of money will be willing to wait until the rates come down or the film gets available on any OTT platforms. If this becomes regular, the buyers are in for an even bigger problem. It is high time that the makers realize this and stop themselves from hiking the rates uncontrollably.

Coming to 'KGF - 2', Prasanth Neel is directing this film while Rocking star Yash is playing the lead role. It is a continuation of the first part and it is set in Kolar Gold Fields. This is a pan-Indian film that is being released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. It is produced by Hombale Films and it features Bollywood actors Raveena Tandon and Sanjay Dutt in key roles. 'KGF' is the film that put the Kannada film industry on the Indian map. Srinidhi Shetty is the heroine while Ravi Basrur is the music composer. Rocking star Yash is arriving on 14th April with his pan-Indian project 'KGF Chapter - 2' and this film is arriving with a lot of expectations.
