Ticket Prices Issue: What is Ram Gopal Varma even thinking?
X
Not so long ago, Ram Gopal Varma launched a direct verbal attack on the YCP government with his aggressive and on-point tweets. He called out the government of Andhra Pradesh for imposing strange restrictions on cinema tickets pricing. After all the high drama Varma created, he secured the appointment of AP Cinematography minister Perni Nani. Varma met with Perni Nani today to discuss the ticket prices issue.

But soon after the meeting was over, Varma said he did not make any demands to the government of Andhra Pradesh. "I did not many demands in any regard. I only explained to Perni Nani how the film industry if the ticket prices are capped at abnormally low prices. There is nothing more to it than that." Ram Gopal Varma said.

Well, Varma had created a lot of high drama with his string of treats recently. He came up with several questions to AP government and Perni Nani through his Twitter account. Many expected him to take on the government over the ticket prices issue but he took a rather subdued stand on the same. What is even thinking or trying to do about the whole issue?

Previously, Varma had tweeted ""Dear honourable minister of cinematography @perni_nani Sir, I humbly request you or your representatives to answer the following questions sir ..What precisely is the role of government in deciding a market price of any product including films sir ? Dear honourable minister of cinematography @perni_nani sir, I understand government might intervene and fix a price below or above the equilibrium when there’s a dire shortage of an essential commodity like wheat, rice , kerosene oil etc , But how does that apply to films sir ?".

"Sir, like RATION SHOPS were created to give rice , sugar etc to benefit the poor , would u consider creating RATION THEATRES sir? The solution can be in theory of a dual price system where producers can sell tickets at their price and government can buy some tickets and sell it to poor at lower prices so that we get our money and you get your votes. It is not my request, but it is my demand to all my colleagues in the film industry to speak up on their true feelings about the ticket rates issue because ippudu nollu moosukunte inkeppatikee theravaleru ..Tharvatha Mee kharma" he concluded.
