Tollywood awaits big box office clash this Dussehra

A handful of Telugu films are releasing in and around the coveted Dussehra season this year. The list includes Sai Dharam Tej's Republic, Sharwanand and Siddharth's Maha Samudram, Vaishnav Tej's Kondapolam, Dil Raju's nephew Ashish Reddy's Rowdy Boys, Akhil Akkineni's Most Eligible Bachelor, Naga Shaurya's Varudu Kavalenu amongst others. Sai Dharam Tej's Republic starts off the proceedings as it hits the silver screens on the 1st of October. The film will commence the box office frenzy that is to follow. The film is directed by Deva Katta and it is billed to be an intense political drama.
Then comes Vaishnav Tej's Kondapolam. The rustic forest based action drama hits the silver screens on the 8th of October, The film is directed by Krish and it has Rakul Preet Singh in the female lead role. This will be Vaishnav's immediate next release after Uppena which was a blockbuster at the box office. However, it is a completely off beat cinema.
Maha Samudram, starring Sharwanand and Siddharth in the lead roles is announced for release on the 14th of this month and it is one of the high budget films which are releasing their Dussehra. The film is directed by Ajay Bhupathi of RX100 fame and it is touted to be an intense love drama with action backdrop.
Most Eligible Bachelor and Varudu Kavalenu will be indulging in a head on clash at the box office as these biggies hit the silver screens on the same day - 15th October. Interestingly enough, both these films are light hearted love dramas. The makers of both these film have commence promotions. Most Eligible Bachelor is directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar and it has Akhil and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles. As for Varudu Kavalenu, the film has Naga Shaurya and Ritu Varma in the lead roles. It is directed by debutante Lakshmi Sowjanya.
The makers of Rowdy Boys, a love dram starring Ashish and Anupama Parameswaran in the lead roles announced that the film will be releasing during Dussehra but they are yet to announce the release date. The same is the case with Pelli SandaD which has Roshann in the lead role.
