Tollywood Case: ED writes to Excise Department seeking documents!

After the Telangana excise and prohibition department said that no solid evidence was found in connection with the Tollywood Drugs Case and gave a clean chit to the celebrities, everyone thought that the case was over and there would be no further developments in the case.
Proving everyone wrong, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had stepped in and asked the excise department to hand over the records and all the other evidence in connection with the case. In this effect, a letter is said to have been sent by the ED.
The new development is a result of the recent orders issued by the Telangana High Court. Hearing a petition, the High Court had reportedly directed the Police Department to submit the documents that have in connection with the case to the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
During the arguments, the ED is said to have told the court that the excise department is not providing the required documents. Satisfied with the arguments, the High Court had issued directives to the excise department to hand over the documents.
The High Court also reportedly said that the ED should be handed over all the documents and other pieces of documents. Having said that, the ED was also asked to approach the court again if the orders issued to the excise department are not followed.
The economic intelligence agency Directorate of Enforcement is doubting a possible money laundering angle in the case as the drug peddler who was arrested in connection with the 2017 Drugs case dubbed as Tollywood Drugs Case belongs to another nation.
We have to wait and see what new angles with the ED unearth in the case as the documents gathered by the cops and the excise department will reach the ED very soon. More and more new names might get attached in the case as the probe continues.
